Asrın Law Office applies for "urgent visit" with Abdullah Öcalan

Asrın Law Office applied to Bursa Execution Judge for an "urgent visit" with Kurdish people's leader Abdullah Öcalan and the other prisoners in İmralı.

According to Mezopotamya Agency (MA), lawyers from Asrın Law Office requested an "urgent visit" with Kurdish people's leader Abdullah Öcalan, Ömer Hayri Konar, Hamili Yıldırım and Veysi Aktaş.

The application was filed to Bursa Execution Judge. The lawyers underlined that they had not heard from Öcalan and their 3 other clients for 8 months, and said that they are very concerned about the lack of any information about the life and health conditions of the prisoners, as well as their conditions of detention.

The lawyers asked the judge to "end this situation of total lack of information" and to ensure a personal visit with their clients.

The Kurdish people's leader has been kept in isolation in Imrali since 1999. Request applications for visits are arbitrarily and systematically rejected.
