Assault in Midyat prison, one prisoner lost his life
Political prisoner PKK member Þeyhmus Yalçýn lost his life as a result of the attack on prisoners in Midyat M-Type Closed Prison yesterday evening.
According to the information acquired, prisoners were attacked when a discussion with guardians turned into an assault. The body of political prisoner Þeyhmus Yalçýn, who was detained in prison for 18 years as a result of the life imprisonment sentence from PKK case, was taken to Mardin State Hospital for an autopsy, which asserted that Yalçýn had a brain hemorrhage. Yalçýn’s body will reportedly be buried in his-hometown village of Koçer (Kurike) in Nusaybin.
