The European Confederation of Oppressed Immigrants has released a statement reacting to the detention and arrest by EU member states of European citizens involved in the fight against ISIS.
The Confederation demanded the urgent release of two Spanish revolutionaries who were detained on 6 July after turning back from Rojava where they joined the battle for international solidarity and defense of humanity against ISIS gangs.
AVEG-KON pointed out that EU states detained and arrested the internationalist fighters who turn back home after participation in the Rojava battle to defend the revolution and fight for humanity against inhumane ISIS gangs.
'INTOLERANCE TO THE PURSUIT OF FREEDOM'
The Confederation emphasized that two Spanish revolutionaries who were targeted by their state soon upon their return, were prouf of taking part in the fight against ISIS gangs under the Internationalist Freedom Battalion.
AVEG-KON continued; “The recent detention by German police of a young revolutionary, member of Young Struggle, at airport on his way to Kobanê for reconstruction works, the arrest of a Kurdish young woman in London for wanting to go to Kobanê, terrorizing of Ivana Hoffman's family and friends, and silence to the organization of ISIS gangs freely in Europe, have once again revealed the hostility of the EU imperialist states to the peoples.”
Remarking that Spain and other EU states intolerant of their citizens' pursuit of freedom conducted their attacks on them in various forms, the Confederation said that this intolerance revealed the true face of these states that have always remained silent on ISIS which is also known as an organization of savage and barbarian people committing brutal massacres without differentiating between women, children and elderly, and raping Êzîdî, Alevi and Kurdish women.
"Yet, our peoples will not forget those starting out for humanity, like these two Spanish revolutionaries, and will carry the internationalist flag they have carried", the Confederation said, and demanded the urgent release of two fighters from Spain.
