AvEG-Kon says Turkey carried out crime against humanity in Maxmur

AvEG-Kon condemned the attack on Maxmur Camp and said: "While the world is dealing with a pandemic, the Turkish state is committing a crime against humanity against the Kurdish people."

The European Migrants Confederation (AvEG-Kon) issued a written statement about the Turkish state's attack against Maxmur Refugee Camp.

The statement said: "The Maxmur Refugee Camp, which has been under embargo for months, has now being bombarded by the fascist Turkish state."

The statement added: "The bombing of areas where civilians live is a crime of humanity. In this case it was carried out at a time in which peoples of the world are struggling to survive the Covid-19 outbreak."

AvEG-Kon called on "all democratic mass organizations and human rights defenders to react to this attack. We call on all sensitive public opinion to stand beside the refugees living in Maxmur and express their solidarity."
