Peace and Democracy Party (BDP) called on the people to the areas with the enthusiasm of Newroz tomorrow to join the May Day, the solidarity-unity-struggle day of the world working class.

On the message issued on the occasion of May 1st, BDP General Center draw attention to the universal values of the entire humanity accepted throughout the history in the struggle for democracy, freedom and human rights. The statement said; “The most important of these universal values are the acceptance of labor as “the most honourable value” and “the respect to labor”.

“With a great enthusiasm, excitement and spirit of resistance, we are welcoming the May Day which is the symbol of the labor struggle given throughout the history and celebrated as the solidarity-unity-struggle day of the world working class. At the areas on the May Day, our laborer peoples will both display the organized struggle and shout the longing for a more fair, egalitarian and liberal Turkey, democracy, peace and the brotherhood of peoples.

“We are going through a process when the global financial capital and the political powers under its guidance attack more on laborer people and intolerable dimensions have been reached by poverty, hunger, unemployment, exploitation and bottleneck. Economic living conditions are worsening day by day, the inter-regional imbalance and the inequality in income distribution are gradually increasing, new ones are added every day to millions of unemployed and poor people and the bottleneck is reaching intolerable dimensions”.
