The Peace and Democracy Party (BDP) and the People’s Democratic Congress (HDK) Antalya Council has said the police department and the governorship constantly prevent them from holding public press conferences in the city. The representatives said to be "very annoyed. We demand respect for our party from the police department."

In a press conference held in the BDP Antalya Branch building, BDP Antalya Chair Ýhsan Nergiz has noted that they will carry out necessary legal proceedings to put an end to the ongoing rights violations against the BDP. HDK Antalya Council spokesperson Kubilay Döþeyen has pointed out that the discriminating attitude of the law enforcement agencies damage the unity of the people.
