BDP executives taken into custody- UPDATE

Nineteen people have been taken into custody on Thursday within the scope of so-called “KCK” operations in the provinces of Mardin, Istanbul and Diyarbakýr.

Raids on 24 separate addresses were carried out within the scope of the investigation conducted by Public Prosecutor of Ömerli. The majority of the detainees consists of Peace and Democracy Party (BDP) executives.

CD, hard disk and mobile phones of BDP Ömerli organization were confisticated during the raid in the district building of the party.

In a statement on the operation, Mardin Governor said that six other people are also sought by the police.

Including eight Peace and Democracy Party (BDP) executives, nine people were taken into custody on early Thursday morning in Ömerli and Savur districts of Mardin. Detentions came following simultaneous house raids by soldiers in many houses.
