BDP Malatya Provincial Chair Zeki Kýlýcgedik, who was sued in six separate cases for attending the funeral ceremonies of HPG guerrillas and chanting the slogan "Þehîd namirin" (Martyrs are immortal), was sentenced to a total of eight years imprisonment.
Among six separate cases opened against BDP Malatya Provincial Chair Zeki Kýlýcgedik for allegedly “making propaganda for the organization”, three cases have been concluded at Malatya 3rd High Criminal Court which sentenced Kýlýcgedik to a total of eight years imprisonment. While Kýlýcgedik’s lawyers had the decision discerned, three other cases, which were opened against Kýlýcgedik for attending Newroz celebrations, BDP activities and funeral ceremonies of HPG guerillas, still continue.
BDP Malatya Provincial Chair Gaffar Bayram said the followings concerning the subject; “Our administrators are imposed penalties for funny reasons and the cases opened against many administrators for the same reasons still continue. They intend to silence and suppress us with these sentences imposed.”
