BDP Muþ MP Demir Çelik and Batman MP Ayla Akat Ata were assaulted by police in Diyarbakýr where thousands of people gathered today with the call of DTK (Democratic Society Congress) and BDP (Peace and Democracy Party).
While shops weren’t opened in the city today, thousands of people, including DTK Coordination Board members, BDP MPs Ayla Akat Ata, Demir Çelik, Nursel Aydoðan and BDP Diyarbakýr district and provincial executives, gathered to condemn the savagery applied on 23 bodies that are held at Malatya Hospital and claimed to be of HPG guerillas. The mass was attacked by police during the statement made by BDP MP for Van, Demir Çelik.
While the mass responded to gas bombs and pressure water of police with stones and molotov cocktails, BDP MPs Demir Çelik and Ayla Akat Ata were also assaulted by tens of police officers of action force.
