Peace and Democracy Party (BDP) Istanbul organization will stage a rally in solidarity with the people of Rojava in the central Kadıköy Square on 24 November.

Speaking at a press conference about the rally which will be held under the slogan "Resist Rojava, Istanbul With You", BDP Istanbul chair Arife Çınar stressed that the Rojava revolution for identities and beliefs promised the liberation of all peoples in the region.

Çınar remarked that the transitional government recently formed in Rojava was a model grounded on the equal representation of all peoples including Kurds, Arabs, Assyrians, Chechens, Armenians and Turkmenians.

"Rojava is the democratic revolution of peoples and the Middle East", Çınar underlined and noted that the Rojava revolution also offered great opportunities for the peoples in search of freedom, equality and justice.

Çınar remarked that the 24 November rally was intended for defeating the conspiracies against the Rojava revolution, supporting the dignified struggle of peoples of Rojava and Syria, and voicing the demands for peace, justice and equality in response to the reactionary powers that want to turn the Middle East into bloodbath.

Çınar called for strong participation in the rally which she said will also be joined by BDP co-chair Gültan Kışanak, HDP (Peoples' Democratic Party) co-chair Sebahat Tuncel and DTK (Democratic Society Congress) co-chair Ahmet Türk as well as a number of political parties and democratic non-governmental organizations.
