Blast bomb at Police Department in Silopi
Late last night an explosion occurred at the Police Department Traffic Unit in Silopi district of Þýrnak.
Due to the deafening sound and noise caused by the blast bomb, a number of police and armed vehicles were transferred to the incident scene. The security measures were multiplied and police made detailed examinations in the area after the blast.
Clashes broke out between police and a group of young people after the blast as police tried to enter the surrounding neighborhoods with armed vehicles.
On the other hand, Apoist Youth Initiative claimed responsibility for a blast bomb attack on BÝM supermarket in the western province of Denizli last night. The blast bomb action which caused remarkable material damage was carried out to protest against the isolation imposed on Kurdish peoples leader Abdullah Öcalan and against military and political operations targeting Kurds.
