According to allegations, a builder was executed by police forces and the execution was recorded by a mobile phone camera.
Fethullah Tokay is said to be the man seen in the video footage released after the shooting in Batman on 26 September. A young mother and two of her children were killed by police shooting at random. Kurdish guerrillas have indeed denied any involvement on the shooting. Indeed HPG commander said that their guerrillas were hiding in a building site, after they realized their cover was gone. Between the shooting resulting in the death of the young mother and her two kids, and the clash involving the guerrillas, two hours had passed.
Fethullah Tokay's brother applied to the ÝHD Siirt Branch asking for help in establishing the truth and asking to investigate allegations that is brother was executed by police.
Brother Tokay said, "We have not heard from my brother since the conflict occurred in Batman. He went to Batman that day. He is a father of three and has nothing to do with politics. I thought the person who was killed during the event might be my brother. I'm asking help to identify the body to make sure."
Nimettulah Tokay also applied to the Batman Chief Public Prosecutor.
The identity of construction worker Fethullah Tokay was confirmed by his family. Tokay’s body will be taken to his hometown Siirt after the completion of funeral procedures.
Tokay's brother left Batman and appealed to the public prosecutor in Malatya where his brother’s body was being held at Forensic Medicine Institution. Tokay’s body, recognized by his brother, will undergo an autopsy and then taken to Siirt for burial.
