HDP Co-Chair Buldan visited the Green Left Party election office in Baskale district of Van province on Tuesday.

Buldan emphasized that her party would conduct a campaign to win all 8 seats in Van in the May 14 elections. She said: "I promise you that we will make the AKP lose in this region. We will defeat the AKP by 3-0 in Hakkari, and by 8-0 in Van."

Buldan continued: “In this regard, we trust the people of Başkale most. Başkale is one of the districts where we receive our highest voting rates. The number of votes we get is too high. We are proud of the people of Başkale. They have a decisive role in our campaign and votes in these elections. This will be an election to end the 21-year AKP-MHP rule, oppression and persecution. Following the election, we will put an end to the AKP's oppression, cruelty and unlawfulness.”

Buldan also reacted to the simultaneous police operations carried out in dozens of cities, including Amed, this morning, saying: “Existing on borrowed time, they have carried out detention operations in many cities today. This is a conspiratorial operation. We strongly condemn this operation directed against lawyers who will take care of election security, artists who will take the stage in the election campaigns, and our friends who will carry out the electoral campaign. The more they lose, the more they attack, but the more they attack, the more they will lose. On this basis, I would like to emphasize the importance of unity and solidarity among our people against all these pressures, obstructions and conditions of fascism. It is time to create unity and togetherness. It is time to increase our struggle, defeat fascism and make the AKP lose in the elections.”
