Green Left Party Izmir candidate Burcugül Çubuk told ANF that the next election is the beginning of the end for the fascist government. "We are facing the AKP-MHP fascist alliance, which is an alliance based on corruption and war. This alliance will lose. The fascist alliance started its electoral campaign by revealing its secret collaborators. We have and will break the equation they want to force us into."

We are on the eve of a historic victory

Çubuk said: "This is the beginning of the end for the AKP-MHP regime, which is why it attacks with all its power. It bombed Rojava less than 24 hours after the 6 February earthquake. The fear of losing is great. We need to know well what they will lose and why. They fear the alliance of people, workers, socialists, women, students. They attacked us, the prisons and killed thousands of our people. We did not allow them to succeed in their will of destruction. We are on the eve of a historic victory against this worker-killer, misogynist, colonialist power. We will win."

Stating that women who fight against the male state mentality stand by each other, Çubuk said: "The male state and the male-dominated system are the main contradiction. The killers of Fatma, İpek, Pınar, Emine and Şule were awarded. Child abuse has been reduced to material evidence. Kindergartens were closed at workplaces. Courthouses, homes, workplaces, and parliament became the domains of the male alliance. We experienced the consequences of colonialism in Kurdistan. Vehicles of militarist law enforcement were deployed at every street corner. No woman or child could walk comfortably on the street of their home or school. The violence of the occupiers strengthened male violence."

Çubuk added: "Perhaps it was our struggle for the Istanbul Convention that showed the period [of darkness] we were going through. We have seen that patriarchal cooperation does not see the word of women. That's why we don't have demands. We have a struggle and solidarity. Overthrowing this government will actually do great harm to the male alliance. Our main goal is to destroy this partnership that has sworn to destroy us."
