Campaign stand removed due to AKP pressure in Bordeaux

The stand set up by Bordeaux Election Coordination was removed due to pressure from fascists.

Voting for the June 24 elections continues in Europe. People from Kurdistan and Turkey have been casting their votes since June 7 in Bordeaux, France.

On the first day of voting, Bordeaux Election Coordination set up a stand to inform the voters coming in. The stand’s permits have been revoked by the Bordeaux Governorate due to fascist pressure from the AKP.

The Bordeaux Election Coordination issued a statement on the issue and said they will never bow down to fascist attacks, and “will continue to raise up the motto of ‘One vote for HDP one vote for Demirtaş’ to end the one-man dictatorship with great faith and resolve.”

The Election Corrdination called on people from Turkey and Kurdistan who live around Bordeaux: “Our peoples, workers, women, youth! Come to vote now, don’t wait until tomorrow for justice and equality.”
