Catalan activists send greeting to the guerrilla forces to Kurdistan and call out for a demonstration to celebrate the 10th anniversary of the Rojava Revolution.

In the frame of the 1st Internationalist Catalan Conference in Barcelona, Catalunya, activists from different organization sent messages expressing solidarity with the resistance and the struggle of the guerrilla forces in the mountains in Kurdistan.

A statement released by participants after the conference said the following:

"For several months, HPG and YJA-Star are confronting the Turkish state in a battle for live and dignity. Our comrades in the guerrilla are giving, one more time, a strong message to the fascist regime of Erdogan; that no one will be able to destroy the Free Areas in the Mountains in Kurdistan. From the Catalan territories, we gathered to discuss about Democratic Confederalism and Internationalism. Our duty it is to also protect the revolution in Kurdistan, and to join the paradigm of the Kurdish Movement.

We commemorated the action of 4 comrades in Zap on the 2nd of June. Our comrades became martyrs of the revolution making a step forward for the liberation, after resisting in their position for more than a month, getting attacked by chemical weapons and armed drones. We commemorated their memory, their passion and their love for their people. Their sacrifice inspires all the revolutionary forces of this world.

In this frame, in Barcelona city, on the 10th anniversary of the Rojava Revolution we will gather on Tuesday 19th, in the afternoon to walk in demonstration in the city center. We will end the event with speeches about the revolution, the resistance of the people in Afrin, Serekaniye and Gire Spi and to honor all the martyrs of YPG, YPJ, SDF.

In this emergency moment, when Erdogan is threating again the territory of Rojava, we need to be ready for our actions if the invasion will start. We will defend Rojava, we will defend Kurdistan.”
