CHP deputies release request rejected for the second time

The 13th Heavy Criminal Court in Ankara has rejected the appeal brought by lawyers of Mustafa Balbay and Mehmet Haberal to reverse the first rejection to free the two CHP deputies.

Yesterday the CHP leader Kemal Kýlýçdaroðlu had announced he would wait until a few minutes before parliament is due to open to give the final decision on whether his party deputies will take part to the oath-taking ceremony. It was understood that Kýlýçdaroðlu fell short of giving a clear yes or not to the participation to the oath-taking ceremony precisely because he was waiting for the response from the appeal court.
