Civil disobedience action in front of the UN - UPDATE

Ongoing protests worldwide against the Turkish genocidal campaign seeking to invade North and East Syria.

Internationalist youth have started a human chain action in front of the United Nations (UN) office in Geneva in protest at its silence on the Turkish state’s invasion and genocidal attacks targeting North and East Syria.

During the action in front of the UN, a group of young people crossed the barriers and chained themselves to the gates in front of the UN entrance. Young people and activists chanted slogans such as “Long live Rojava resistance”, “Everywhere resistance, everywhere Rojava ” and “Terrorist Erdoğan". They demanded the UN to take action against the Turkish state.

During the action there were intense security measures.

The activists ended their action after talking to the police, and in their statement, they emphasized that they will continue to be on the streets to support the resistance in Rojava as internationalist youth and to stand against the Turkish occupation.

The action took place on the day when the first meeting of the Syrian constitutional committee was taking place under the auspices of the UN. The talks on the new Constitution continue in Geneva.
