Clashes broke out in Van and Batman over the police intervention with gas bombs and pressure water on the people who wanted to stage demonstrations to protest against the veto decision and murder of Ibrahim Oruc by police in Bismil.

A bevy of demonstrators, marching from Akköprü Neighborhood to Feqiya Teyran Park to stage a sit-in act, was attacked by police with gas bombs and pressure water without any warning. Clashes continue in the city which turned into a battlefield when the mass responded to police with stones and molotov cocktails.

Invariably in Batman, thousands of people were subjected to police attack in front of the municipality building where demonstrators wanted to stage a march with the same reason. The mass responded to police tanks and gas bombs with stones, molotov cocktails and fireworks.
