A group of youths in the province of Dersim gathered and protested against corruption following an armed attack which left one person, Sinan Amaç, wounded in a pub in the evening.

Demonstrators attacked the pubs and broke their glasses, chanting the slogan “Dersim will bury fascism” and "Biji serok Apo" [Long live Leader Apo]. Police attacked the group as they marched to the BİM supermarket in the city and damaged it.

Clashes between protesters and police lasted till late night, with demonstrators using stones and blast bombs in response to the police attack with intense tear gas and pressure water.

The pubs and the supermarket became unserviceable after the protests.

Sinan Amaç who suffered an injury on the leg is reported to be in good state of health.
