Clashes in Þemdinli (province of Hakkari) are still going on according to people from the area. It is understood the Turkish army has bombed the area last night and forests are burning.

The People’s Defense Forces Press Office HPG-BIM had said in a statement on Wednesday that at least 30 soldiers were killed and many others were wounded in clashes in the operation area. Four guerrillas have lost their life in the clashes.

Warplanes, cobra helicopters, howitzers and mortal artilleries were used in the bombing from both air and land. One skorsky type helicopter was shot down and two others were damaged in the region of Þiteza in Yüksekova.
