Constitutional Court to examine the motion for HDP ban on March 31

The case filed to ban the HDP will be examined by the Constitutional Court in Ankara on March 31. On the same day, there will also be a review of the lawsuit filed by HDP politician Ömer Faruk Gergerlioğlu against the revocation of his deputy mandate.

On March 31, Turkey's Constitutional Court will review the motion to ban the Peoples' Democratic Party (HDP). The hearing will examine the demands listed in the Court of Cassation's petition: A complete ban on Turkey's third-largest opposition party, a five-year ban on political activity for more than 600 politicians, the suspension of public funding and the freezing of party accounts, and a ban on new members joining the party.

On the same day, the Constitutional Court will also hear a case brought by HDP politician Ömer Faruk Gergerlioğlu against the revocation of his parliamentary mandate.
