Convoy promoting the Green Left Party tours London

A convoy of cars toured North London as part of the Green Left Party's election campaign.

As part of the ongoing campaign for the May 14 elections in Turkey, the Labour and Freedom Alliance staged a convoy tour in London promoting the Green Left Party, under the umbrella of which the Peoples’ Democratic Party (HDP) is contesting because of the ongoing closure case against the party before the Constitutional Court of Turkey.

Dozens of vehicles joining the convoy set off from the British Alevi Federation (BAF) premises in North London on Sunday.

The banners displayed by activists read "We are here, we will change together " and "Peoples will win, fascism will lose" to the accompaniment of the election campaign songs of the party.

The convoy passed through Enfield, Edmonton, Tottenham, Dalston, Manor House, Haringey, Wood Green and Palmers Green.

In the settlements where people from Kurdistan and Turkey reside, people saluted the convoy with victory signs.

The tour ended at the BAF premises.

Voters from Kurdistan and Turkey will go to the polls in Britain between April 29 and May 7, mainly in the cities of London, Manchester, Liverpool and Edinburgh.
