Cooperation between Turkish and Belgian governments a danger for RojTv

The written statement made by the ROJ TV Administrative Board pointed out that the cooperation between Belgian Prime Minister Yves Laterme and Turkish Prime Minister Tayyip Erdogan on the ban of ROJ TV means to organize a conspiracy through illegal ways and to develop pressure.

The statement of the ROJ TV management, which evaluates the collaboration offer as a call for motivation of the police and political prevention mechanisms against the freedom of press, is as follows: "Belgian Prime Minister Yves Laterme, on his visit to Turkey on May 9, made a proposal of cooperation to Turkish Prime Minister Tayyip Erdogan for the prevention of ROJ TV. Laterme offered a joint working of a joint commission formed by the two countries’ Foreign Affairs, Interior and Justice Ministers against ROJ TV."

The attempt of Belgian Prime Minister Laterme serves as an open support to Turkey’s practice of applying constraint, penalty and prevention on the language and culture of the Kurdish people. This collaboration offer is a call for motivation of the police and political prevention mechanisms against the freedom of thought-expression and the freedom of press-broadcast.

Belgian Prime Minister Laterme nakedly offered the Turkish government to organize a conspiracy against ROJ TV through illegal ways, develop constraint mechanism and restrain.

“Against the attacks of the Turkish state on ROJ TV, which are a part of the systematic attacks against the Kurdish people, Belgium Prime Minister and the government in particular, we are calling on the media organizations and the public not to be an instrument to these policies”.
