Turkish Minister of Health held a press conference following the meeting of the Science Board on Tuesday.
Commenting on the current situation regarding the Coronavirus pandemic, Koca argued that the spreading speed of Covid-19 has been brought under control, while the total confirmed cases rose to 65,111 and death toll to 1,403. He noted that 4,062 cases have been detected in the country during the past 24 hours when 107 people have died. On the other hand, 4,799 infected people have recovered.
Koca refused to comment on the developments that followed the two-day curfew declared on April 10 night. He said “It is the government’s decision. I do not need to say anything else on that.”
The minister claimed that the number of confirmed cases in Turkey is decreasing every passing day, adding; “The disease reached the peak in the US on the 10th week, in Italy on the 8th week, in Spain on the 9th week and in Turkey on the 4th week. In other words, the spreading speed in Turkey has gone into a decline.”
