Court releases two suspects in Sakarya racist attack on workers

Two people arrested in connection with the racist attack suffered by workers from Mardin in Sakarya were released after giving testimony under judicial control.

Sakarya Chief Public Prosecutor's Office instructed Kocaali Chief Public Prosecutor's Office to take into custody K.C. and H.C. for "threatening" and "injury".

After the interrogations, the 2 people who were taken to the duty judge were released on the condition of judicial control.

Kurdish seasonal workers from Mardin suffered a racist attack in Sakarya on 4 September 2020.

The Governor's Office of Sakarya denied the attack and alleged that the footage in question was from a previous attack.
