A criminal court in Ankara paved the way for candidacies of two independent applicants, Leyla Zana and Hatip Dicle, who were excluded by the Higher Election Board (YSK) on Monday along with other 11 independent candidates.

The court ruled that Zana and Dicle's sentences had been served and they were released from prison. The Court also ruled the limitation of their civil rights should be lifted and they should be given back their civil rights.
