Current account deficit rises to almost $2.4 billion in September

The Central Bank announced that the current account deficit rose to 2 billion 364 million dollars in September.

The Turkish lira is depreciating, incomes are falling and the economy is in a deficit. These are the results of the AKP-MHP government.

The Central Bank (CBRT) announced the current account deficit data for September. A current account deficit of 2 billion 364 million dollars was confirmed in September. Thus, the 12-month current account deficit rose to 27 billion 539 million dollars. The annual current account deficit was 23 billion 203 million dollars in August.

The current account, excluding gold and energy, decreased from 6 billion 46 million dollars in September last year to 3 billion 236 million dollars in September this year.

Again, under the balance of services, net revenues arising from travel items decreased by 1 billion 916 million dollars in the same period and regressed to 555 million dollars.
