DBP Co-chair Sebahat Tuncel kept in isolation

DBP Co-chair Sebahat Tuncel has been kept in solitary confinement for 13 days.

Democratic Regions' Party (DBP) Co-chair Sebahat Tuncel was arrested on November 6 in Amed and was transferred to Silivri Women’s Closed Prison where she is reported to be kept in solitary confinement.

Lawyer Şıvan Cemil Özen stated that Tuncel has been in solitary confinement since the day she was arrested.

Özen said the clothes and books DBP and her family sent to Tuncel were returned by the prison administration without a reason.

Özen added that Tuncel was subjected to special psychological pressure by the prison administration.
