The Hamas government’s Ministry of Health announced on Sunday that the number of people killed in Israel's attacks on the Gaza Strip since the start of the war on 7 October has reached 40,099.

According to the statement made by the ministry, at least 25 people have died in the last 24 hours, while 92,609 people have been injured in the Gaza Strip since 7 October.

In its statements, the ministry does not distinguish between civilians and fighters among the dead and wounded. To date, Hamas has not provided any balance sheet on the loss of fighters.
