London police announced that the number of people who lost their lives has risen to 7 and at least 48 people are wounded in the attacks on the London Bridge and the Borough Market bar last night.
London Chief of Police Cressida Dick stated that the attackers’ identities haven’t been confirmed yet. Three attackers had been shot by the police immediately following the incidents.
Dick said the situation has been “taken under control” after the attack and that the investigation has advanced rapidly and they have reached important sources.
Meanwhile, the French Foreign Ministry confirmed that there are 4 French citizens among the wounded people. Australian authorities announced there were 2 of their citizens in the area during the attack and one of them was in the hospital receiving treatment.

People around the globe are protesting the attack. French President Emmanuel Macron said they stand with the UK now more than ever.
Australian Prime Minister Malcolm Turnbull said their thoughts and prayers are with the people of the UK and they will continue their solidarity.
German Chancellor Angela Merkel said “We transcend the borders and experience terror and grief together.”
Russian President Vladimir Putin’s spokesperson Dimitri Peskov said the Russian leader “offers his most sincere condolences to the British people and condemns the attack”.
Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau wrote on Twitter that they are following all developments.
US President Donald Trump said: “The US is prepared to do all that is necessary for the UK and London. We are with you. God bless you.”
Trump defended the travel ban he instated that was overturned by the federal courts once again.
