Demirtaş submits parliamentary questions on the arrest of HDP MPs

HDP Co-Chair Selahattin Demirtaş has sent parliamentary questions to The Speaker of The Grand National Assembly (TBMM).

Selahattin Demirtaş, Co-chair of the Peoples' Democratic Party (HDP) jailed in Edirne Type F Closed Prison has sent parliamentary questions to be answered by The Speaker of The Grand National Assembly (TBMM).

The questions by Demirtaş are as follows:

1- Do you consider taking an action against 10 parliamentarians of TBMM, the parliament you head, being imprisoned without the decision of the parliament?

2- Will you act upon the fact that 10 parliamentarians are held in solitary confinement in F type prisons?

3- Do you consider -despite their continuing immunity from prosecution- it is lawful to control all of their correspondence including this bill according to the Constitution and the Parliament's internal regulations?

4- Do you consider the fact that the silence against all these applications that can be considered as dishonor to the Parliament being applied on HDP parliamentarians can nullify democratic politics and our parliament?

5- Do you consider taking measures to protect fair judgment right given to the Parliament against the definitively judging speeches of the government spokesmen, the prime minister and the president that attempt to affect the judiciary before any of our trials barely begin?

6- Do you consider making an onsite investigation about the conditions under which 10 parliamentarians of the Parliament you head are kept and how they are treated?
