Demo against isolation in Athens

A march was staged on the last day of hunger strike in Athens in protest at the isolation of Abdullah Öcalan.

Kurdistan Cultural Center (Navenda Çanda Kurdsitan-NÇK) organised a march in Greek capital city Athens on the last day of the hunger strike started on December 6 against the aggravated isolation regime imposed on Kurdish People’s Leader Abdullah Öcalan.

In addition to hundreds of people, leftist movements from Turkey and Greece also joined the march from Academia Square to the US Consulate.

Carrying flags of the YPG/YPJ (People’s/Women’s Defense Units), demonstrators chanted slogans against Turkey and US and condemned the isolation of Öcalan and the Turkish state’s repeated occupation threats against Rojava.
