Demo against isolation in front of the European Commission

Demonstrations against the isolation of Abdullah Öcalan continue all around Europe.

Democratic Union Party (PYD) Europe representation, Democratic Kurdish Community Centre (NAV-BEL) and women’s movement YJKB promoted a demonstration in front of the European Commission in Brussels to draw attention to the massive hunger strike protest demanding the end of the isolation imposed on Kurdish People’s Leader Abdullah Öcalan.

During the demonstration at Schuman Square, demonstrators carried photos of Öcalan and flags of PYD, YPG and YPJ.

The mass protested the silence of European institutions on the isolation of the Kurdish leader, and the Turkish occupation of Afrin.

A statement made on behalf of the protesters pointed out that the Turkish state committed war crimes and crimes against humanity in collaboration with NATO.

The demonstration ended with slogans in favor of Öcalan and against occupation.
