Demo for Öcalan’s freedom in Bordeaux

Demonstrations in protest at the isolation regime imposed on Kurdish leader Abdullah Öcalan continue all around the world.

Kurdish activists from the Revolutionary Youth Movement (TCŞ) staged a demonstration in the French city of Bordeaux to demand freedom for Kurdish People’s Leader Abdullah Öcalan.

The activists gathered in front of the Municipality of Bordeaux where they displayed banners and chanted slogans condemning the Turkish fascist regime and its leader Recep Tayyip Erdoğan and demanding freedom for Öcalan who has been completely isolated from the outside world since 1999.

The activists also unfurled a banner condemning the agreement concluded between the governments of Iraq and Kurdistan Region regarding the Yazidi town of Shengal seeking to dissolve the autonomous self-government and self-defense structures built by the people after the ISIS massacre in 2014.

A statement in French highlighted the importance of Abdullah Öcalan for the Kurds and other peoples and denounced the aggravated isolation imposed on him by the Turkish state.
