ARNHEM
Hundreds joined a demo in Arnhem city of Netherlands to protest the isolation of Kurdish People's Leader Abdullah Öcalan and condemn the massacre in Qamishlo city of Rojava which claimed the lives of at least 52 people and left some 170 others wounded.
Protestors gathered in front of the Arnhem central train station where a statement made on behalf of the demonstrators stresed that Kurds will continue their protests until some news is received from Öcalan, and described the isolation as a policy seeking bloodshed. HDP MP Kemal Aktaş and Democratic Kurdish Society Center Co-chair Ela Pala also made a speech in the demo.
TORINO
Kurds and their friends in Torino city of Italy gathered at Castello Square to protest the isolation of Öcalan.
Speaking here, Verso Kurdistan Association chair Antonio Oliveri demanded that the isolation on Öcalan be ended and that he have access to his lawyers at once. Oliveri stressed that this would pave the way to the democratization of Turkey and resolution of the Kurdish question.
TOULOUSE
Kurds in Toulouse city of France also took to the streets to protest the isolation of the Kurdish leader upon a call from the Democratic Kurdish Society Center. Demonstrators voiced growing concerns over Öcalan's wellbeing after the coup attempt of July 15.
MARSEILLE
In Marseille, Kurdish protestors staged a demo at the Canebierre Square to protest the aggravated isolation of the Kurdish leader and the most recent ISIS massacre in Qamishlo. Demonstrators vowed to continue their protests until Öcalan is freed, and sent a letter to the Council of Europe after the demo.
RENNES
The march organised by Zin Women's Association and CDK in Rennes was joined by some 500 people and started from the Colombier Square.
New Anti-Capitalist Party and Young Communist Party also supported the demo during which protestors demanded an urgent ending of Öcalan's isolation and collected signatures to be sent to the CPT and Amnesty International.
HAMBURG
Kurds in the German city of Hamburg also staged a demo organised by Democratic Kurdish Society Center.
Kurdish protestors gathered in front of the Pinneberg Municipality and called for an immediate end to the isolation imposed on the Kurdish leader since April.
Pro-AKP Turks tried to create a provocation but the demonstrators responded to them just with common sense and slogans. Turks wanted to attack the protestors and started chanting "Allahu Akbar" and "Everything for the land". While Kurdish demonstrators chanted "Biji Serok Apo" [Long Live Leader Öcalan] and "Fascism will be buried in Kurdistan], German police intervened the Turkish mob.
