Demos in Duisburg, Cologne and Den Haag protest Turkish attacks

Activists in Duisburg, Cologne and Den Haag protested the massacres carried out by the Turkish state.

New demonstrations were held in the cities of Duisburg, Cologne and Den Haag.

DUISBURG

An action was organised in Duisburg to protest the increasing murders of and the Turkish state's repression against women's institutions.

This was the 8th week of the action carried out by Martyr Asya Yüksel Women's Council in Duisburg every Wednesday.

Speaking on behalf of the Council, Amara Tolhildan pointed out that millions of women have been harmed or lost their lives, regardless of their country, religion, language, nationality and color, and called to fight together against repression. Tolhildan also condemned the Turkish state's massacre in the village of Helîncê in Kobanê.

COLOGNE

In Cologne, Kurds and their friends met at Bahnhofsvorplatz to join the protest organised by Viyan Women's Council.

In the speeches made in the action the 3 women murdered in Kobanê were commemorated and the attacks on women carried out by the Turkish state were condemned.

Speakers also reminded that Germany has provided arms to the Turkish state and that Turkey wants to finish what ISIS was unable to do when it was defeated in Kobanê.

DEN HAAG

An action was organised against the attacks carried out by the Turkish state in Den Haag, the Netherlands.

The action was held before the Dutch Parliament. A deputy came out and listened to the demand of the activists.
