Bingöl chief of police Atalay Ürker and police officers accompanying him were targeted by an armed attack late Thursday evening.

Deputy chief of police Atıf Şahin and commissioner Hüseyin Hatipoğlu were killed in the attack which chief of police Atalay Ürker and his guard Oğur Atlı survived with wounds.
