Police today has taken into custody Dicle News Agency (DÝHA) Mersin journalist, Aydýn Yýldýz. The journalist was leaving Özgür Gündem Daily Newspaper Mersin Office when he was approached by police and subsequently arrested.

His arrest is understood to be part of the police operation in the context of the Kurdish Communities Union (KCK). Police detained 13 Kurdish politicians in Antep and one in Mersin this morning for the same reason.
