Today the 37 people arrested in Þýrnak and Cizre on Sunday have been brought to Court this morning. Among the people taken into custody are many BDP (Peace and Democracy Party) members and executives, included members of the Party local branch and of the city council group.

Likewise in Istanbul 35 BDP members taken into custody on Sunday have appeared in court this morning. They had been arrested at a demonstration in Taksim organized to call for peace and an end to the isolation of Kurdish leader Abdullah Ocalan. Police attacked the crowd with tear gas and baton charged demonstrators.
