As part of an investigation launched by the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, detention warrants were issued for 44 people on charges of "providing finance for an illegal organization" and "being a member of an illegal organization." Numerous houses were raided in Istanbul as part of the investigation. At least 35 people were taken into custody.
It was learned that those detained were taken to the Istanbul Provincial Police Department in Fatih. It was reported that a 24-hour restriction on lawyers' visits was imposed on the detainees.
As part of the investigation launched by the Ankara Chief Public Prosecutor's Office on charges of "making propaganda for an illegal organization," detention warrants were issued for 33 people. It is not known whether any of them were taken into custody.
