The preliminary meeting of the Kurdish National Conference, which has taken place in Hewler today, has ended up with an agreement on the establishment of a drafting committee for the conference.

The meeting witnessed participation by the representatives of many Kurdish political parties and institutions from four parts of Kurdistan, including Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG) President Massoud Barzani, KRG Prime Minister Nechirvan Barzani, KCK (Kurdish Communities Union) Executive Council members Sabri Ok, Zeki Şengali and Ronahi Serhat, DTK (Democratic Society Congress) co-chair Ahmet Türk, BDP (Peace and Democracy Party) co-chair Selahattin Demirtaş, PYD (Democratic Union Party) co-chairs Saleh Muslim and Asya Abdullah, YNK (Patriotic Union of Kurdistan) politburo members Sadi Pira and Adnan Müfti.

All parties will gather again two days later, after naming their candidates for the drafting committee.
