The fifth DTK (Democratic Society Congress) ended in Diyarbakýr this evening. The two-days conference was attended by over 800 delegates and took important decisions. The final document underlines several points and lists some initiative to be taken in the very near future. The document points out that the ruling AK party has chosen the path to sabotage whatever attempt and proposal to solve the Kurdish issue in a peaceful. The document also made a strong statement against the Iranian aggression which is still going on around the Kandil Mountain.
Another important decision taken is about Kurdish leader Abdullah Öcalan. The DTK will put into motion an initiative for Öcalan'freedom.
Aysel Tugluk and Ahmet Turk were re-elected as co-chairs of the DTK.
