In a written statement on recent developments in Syria, Democratic Society Congress (DTK) called on the Syrian and Turkish governments and all opponent circles to recognize and support the declaration of Kurdish Autonomy in Syria and the rights of the Kurdish people.
DTK underlined that No power will be able to prevent the unevitable downfall of all nation-statist governments like that of Iraq, Egypt, Tunisia and Algeria in the Middle East territory where people have enhanced their demands for democracy and freedom.
The Kurdish people in Syria, as one of the most basic dynamic and organized powers in the country, have declared autonomy to ensure a democratic unity with other peoples under the rule of their own identity, language and government, said DTK and remarked that all international institutions and establishments should respect the declaration of Kurdish Autonomy as required by the respect for democracy, freedoms, rights and people.
We support the Democratic Autonomy declared by Southwest Kurdistan people as an expression of an equal and free life with Syrian peoples, noted DTK and ended calling on all states and peoples to make an effort to ensure a peace environment for all peoples in Syria.
