East Kurdistan Defence Forces commander speaks about Iranian aggression
Speaking to ANF, HRK (Kurdish guerrilla) Headquarters Commander Leyla Sorxwin summed up the current phase of the Iranian operation as follows; “They gained some ground in the first and second days of the operation but they make no headway now. Then the control and power was taken by East Kurdistan Defence Forces (HRK).
CASUALITIES OF ASSASINATION ACTIONS NOT DISCLOSED FOR NOW
Remarking that the guerilla resistance continues, Sorxin said the followings; “They weren’t able to counter the power of East Kurdistan Defence Forces which is now carrying out tens of acts against the army. They are now standing at the same point and can’t take a step forward. They launched about 20 attacks but all attempts were beaten back. Besides killing a large number of commanders and Revolutionary Guards, the guerilla also launched some assassination actions that we don’t disclose for now. It was seen very clearly that the Islamic Republic of Iran was defeated against the guerilla resistance during 15 days (from July 16 to 31). While all their plans, goals and objectives have failed, the guerilla defended the values of the Kurdish people up to the end with their own power, resistance and bravery. To protect Qandil means to protect the will of Kurdish people. The Islamic Republic intended to tread on the will and unity of Kurdish people by advancing on Qandil, however all these accounts were defeated by the guerilla resistance.”
HOSPITALS CLOSED TO PUBLIC
Noting that the Iranian regime gives wrong information about the loss of the guerilla, Sorxwin stated that only eight guerillas lost their lives during the operation as they didn’t leave their position.
Giving information about the losses of the Iranian army, Sorxwin said; “They have a loss of 255 people, and even more. According to the information we received, all the hospitals (in Eastern Kurdistan) were closed to public due to lack of rooms as causalities have been taken to these hospitals.
OVER QANDIL, IRAN AIMS TO LEAVE ALL KURDISTAN WITHOUT A WILL
Appealing to the Kurdish people, Sorxwin said; “The people of Eastern Kurdistan in particular, I call on all Kurdish people to not to remain silent against these attacks while the Islamic Republic aims to leave all the parts of Kurdistan without a will over Qandil.”
