EH Bildu senators present question about Öcalan in Spanish state parliament

EH Bildu senators Elizondo and Elejabarrieta presented a question about Öcalan in the Spanish state parliament.

Josu Estarrona Elizondo, senator elected by Araba/Álava, of the left parliamentary group for independence (Esquerra Republicana-Euskal Herria Bildu) and Gorka Elejabarrieta Díaz, senator elected by Gipuzkoa, of the left parliamentary group for independence (Esquerra Republicana - Euskal Herria Bildu) presented a new question in the Spanish state parliament demanding a written answer from the government.

The question reads as follows: "This coming 4 April, Kurdish leader Abdullah Öcalan will turn 75. For the last 25 years, he has been imprisoned in the Imrali prison (Turkey), in a very harsh regime. Since 25 March 2021, there has been no news and nothing has been heard from Mr. Öcalan.

This is why we ask the Government the following questions:

Does the Government know about the case of Abdullah Öcalan?

If the Government knows about it, does Spanish diplomacy have information about the health status of the Kurdish leader Abdullah Öcalan, a political prisoner in Imrali prison (Turkey) for 25 years?"
