Eight people remanded in custody in Bismil
Bismil Prosecutor issued an arrest warrant for eight out of 13 detainees in Bismil.
Eight men were sent to Bismil and Diyarbarýk E Type Closed Prisons. The eight were taken into custody during clashes between police and marchers in Bismil, on Wednesday.
Police tried to disperse hundreds of Kurds who were marching toward the local governor building asking for justice for high school student Halil Ýbrahim Oruç. The young student was killed by police on April 20 during a march in Bismil. The large crowd yesterday was asking for truth and to find the police who actually shot the fatal bullet killing Oruç. In the course of the march yesterday police used tear gas which proved fatal to sixty years old Kazým Þeker who suffered a stroke.
