Naser El Xerbi, President of the Association of Journalists of Saudi Arabia, who is leading the boycott campaign launched in the country, which has spread to almost all Arab countries in the last week, said that the boycott of Turkish products, tourism, cinema and TV series is an attitude towards Erdoğan's policy against the Arabs.

Naser El Xeribi answered the questions of the Fırat News Agency (ANF).

El Xerbi stated that, “The people of Arabia stood by their administration and manifested an attitude, a resistance against Erdoğan's enemy policy. In fact, the public expressed that ‘although our administration is patient, we have no more tolerance against this dirty policy of the Erdoğan government. This is why the boycott has peaked in the last week.”

ALTERNATIVE TO TURKISH PRODUCTS

El Xerbi stated that the aim of both the association and a large company he administers is not to bring Turkish products to their own countries and said: “Instead of Turkish goods-products, we aim to make our families profit from our national products. The aim is to create alternatives to the products imported from Turkey. We are happy to lead this campaign as journalists and to draw the attention of the people of Arabia to this campaign.”

Stating that this boycott is also against the liar, fraudulent and dirty broadcast policy of Turkey, El Xerbi suggested that, “The Turkish media publish very dirty and false publications about both Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates. We are exposing these lies both to the Arab people and to the whole world.”

AWARE OF SAUDI ARABIA'S ROLE

Noting that Erdoğan is well aware of the influence of Saudi Arabia on Arab countries, El Xerbi remarked that: “He realized that he will not be able to achieve his goal. He also knows the importance of Saudi Arabia in the world economy. Turkey-Qatar coalition that provides finance to terrorist organizations is weakening. Saudi Arabia's effort to eradicate resources of this alliance, which includes Iran, continues. Boycott is also part of this, which will have a huge impact on Turkey's economy and politics. Saudi Arabia is not just an ordinary Arab state.”

PEOPLES OF TURKEY ARE OUR BROTHERS

El Xerbi conveyed a message to all the people living in Turkey, saying; “The peoples in Turkey are our brothers, the boycott decision stems from the hostile policy pursued by Turkey's government against our country and our people. Our brothers and sisters need to take a stand against the Turkish government and its dictator, because this hatred is to the detriment of the people of Turkey.”
