Appeals for rallies in Istanbul, Antep, Izmir and Mardin for HDP’s Presidential Candidate Selahattin Demirtaş have been accepted by the election councils in these cities.

“IN PERSON OR THROUGH SEGBIS”

The HDP appealed to the Supreme Board of Elections (Yüksek Seçim Kurulu - YSK) and the Ministry of Justice for Demirtaş to attend the rallies.

The petitions submitted to the YSK and the Ministry of Justice said:

“We request that Mr. Selahattin Demirtaş be allowed to participate in person to the rallies to be held in Istanbul, Gaziantep, Izmir and Mardin provinces as per our appeals included in the attachment, and if your Directorate disagrees, that he be allowed to participate to the rallies through the video conferencing system SEGBIS, and that necessary correspondence be carried out to this end.”
