Elections Board to announce official results later in the week

Turkey’s parliamentary oath-taking ceremony for the newly elected deputies will be delayed following the announcement by the Supreme Election Board (YSK) that the official results of the June 12 elections will actually by formally made public either Wednesday or Thursday.

Parliament will convene five days after the YSK’s official announcement of the election results, possibly on June 27 or 28 for the newly elected deputies can take their oaths. The YSK had been expected to announce the results earlier.
